The “Art in Motion” performance combines the artful movement of dance and action painting! Watch as the performance transfers the energy of movement onto canvas with paint markings dribbled and smeared leaving an imprint of the body in motion. A collaborative performance by Code f.a.d. Company and Katie Gunter.
The Mahler will exhibit the artwork created during the Raleigh Residency of both the Moroccan and American artists from September 18th-30th. A reception will be open to the public from 6-9 PM on September 18 and will feature a short documentary of the cultural exchange experience.
COMPLIFY is a mission to collect 10,000 photographs of faces over the course of 3 years in order to create a show where viewers reflect on how stereotypes simplify society. Jose Chavira will have a small studio set up in the bazaar where SPARKers can come by, share their experiences, and add their portrait to the project.
